16-year-old Xena’s experience on her planet hasn’t been a cheery one so far. Between being hunted like an animal by the council, constantly losing her jobs, and her strained relationship with her manipulative and condescending mother, she’s sure the universe must be determined to get her killed in some way, and soon. But her views, and her beliefs in her own magic, are changed drastically when she’s rescued from the council by a mysterious pair of very young and surprisingly intelligent mages.
