Once upon a time, in a world far, far away, there was a small village of animals. There were rabbits, squirrels, mice, and even a few raccoons who lived in harmony with each other. However, there was one animal who was a bit different from the rest - a zebra named Zed.
Zed was always the odd one out. He had stripes all over his body, which made him stand out from the other animals. No matter how hard he tried to fit in, he always felt like he was on the outside looking in.
One day, Zed decided he had had enough of feeling like an outcast. He was going to try and make some friends. He went around the village and introduced himself to all of the animals he met. The rabbits and squirrels were friendly enough, but they couldn’t help but stare at his stripes. The mice were scared of him, and the raccoons just laughed and teased him.
Feeling discouraged, Zed wandered off into the woods. As he was walking, he heard a strange noise coming from behind a nearby bush. He cautiously approached the bush and peeked inside. To his surprise, he saw a group of animals playing cards.
There was a bear, a wolf, a fox, and even a snake. They all looked up at Zed, but to his amazement, they didn’t seem to mind his stripes at all. They welcomed him to their game and made him feel right at home.
Zed had never felt so happy before. He had finally found a group of animals who accepted him for who he was. They played cards late into the night, laughing and telling jokes. Zed realized that he didn’t need to fit in with the other animals in the village. He just needed to find his own group of friends who accepted him for who he was.
The next day, Zed went back to the village feeling confident and proud of who he was. The other animals still stared at him, but he didn’t mind anymore. He knew that he had found his true friends in the woods, and that was all that mattered.
From then on, Zed would occasionally disappear into the woods to play cards with his new friends. The other animals in the village may have thought he was strange, but Zed knew that he was just being himself, and that was all that mattered.
