She’s seen it, she wants it, and she’s carefully nurturing demons he’s worked hard to banish, in order to take it. But when life and love spiral into terrifying uncertainty, can he free himself from the twisted clutch of obsession in time to put things right? Or do some choices cause damage that’s beyond all repair?
‘Sometimes, we are just collateral damage in someone else’s war against themselves.’
The real-life person that Rubie’s character is based on used to constantly tell such awful lies it was very hard to know what to believe. So, while the scenes with Sugar are entirely fictitious, they’re also completely plausible!
I’m loving your story more and more, girlie! With some perspective, I can see Fin’s struggle - as well as Tamar’s. I’m rooting for them to get through this! <3 <3
Amazing! Thank you so much Yeah, at the beginning Fin just seems like a completely heartless bastard but as the story goes on you start to learn everything that led to that one stupid decision. I think of all the characters Rubie is the most complex because you just start to understand her and feel a bit sorry for her, then she goes and does something else that’s evil and becomes the bad guy again
Such a great story and excellent writing!! I would LOVE to read a branched version of it! Or any branched story by you. Are you planing on publishing a branched one at some point?
Yes, I have 2 murder mysteries in my head which I’m planning to branch with choices and points (as soon as I learn properly how to do that ).
I’m also writing a WW2 drama based on real events that happened to some of my family, and I’d like to complete Rough Justice (my Episode story). Once Damage is finished, I’ll properly commit to learning Tales Code and taking full advantage of everything this epic platform has to offer
