I also assumed Booth acted on his own, like Lee Harvey Oswald (JFK) or John Hinckley Jr. (Reagan). Turns out it wasn’t just a racist dude with a grudge; it was a major plan that tied into the whole Civil War. Not sure how far you are in the story, but it’s as much a history lesson as it is for fun. I tried to adhere to actual history as much as possible.
